Greetings dear friends,
As one of my previous posts suggested, I'm building a new website and as the creative (and technical) process lingers on, I suddenly realized that not only the site needs a face-lift... but also myself. I was thinking of a new alias - DNA-Groove is almost 17 years old now (more than half my own age) and I definitely feel it's time to let it go. At first I thought about dropping aliases altogether and just use my own name, but I wasn't sure I'm comfortable with that.
So I turn to you, yes you personally... what do you think? A new alias? Leave the old one? No alias at all? If it is a new alias, which one?

Hadrian Refreshing is a good idea, but then continuity is always good. I'd think you'd only want to change your name if you were changing your music style drastically. But I agree with Bradyn, DNA-Groove is a very 90s name.

Jared I always liked DNA-Groove. It was unique, and that's how I know you. I'll never forget looking at your name at the bottom of the screen while loading up DX-Ball or Pocket Tanks.

Kollard A change would definitely help promote yourself better. I'm glad you came to this conclusion and hope you'll make the best of it. I have complete confidence in any other name you choose, now that you're no longer 16. lol

Bradyn Personally, as long as you continue to create some of the most glorious music I've ever heard, I have no preference to what you call yourself, though in all honesty a new name may make it easier to share your music with others. DNA-Groove doesn't really roll off the tongue and really dates everything back to the 90s.

Michael I agree with Slobodan. I never really knew what DNA-Groove stands for but I know it wasn't very appealing artistically. I also agree with him on the source of the new name, you know best and I have full confidence in your creativity. Thanks!

Slobodan Hey Eliran!
I think your decision is good. Having a new alias would for me mean refreshment, that you're back and active. This, and new site would be great, and even more so if new music would be presented at the same time - something big that followers would want to share with their friends saying "this guy is awesome" like probably many did when they found out about this site. Or at least, I did. :)
I'm not sure about the name you should take... In my opinion, generally a new alias would work, and you know best what well describes your inspiration, emotions and style. DNA-Groove doesn't, at least to me! :) What name would drag you personally to try and listen to someone's music? Start from yourself, since essentially as an author you are your own work's biggest fan. As a last resort I think your real name wouldn't be a bad idea either. At least it's not something you'll want to change for a while! :D
Personally I visit the site whenever I want to listen to your music (I haven't downloaded it yet for that reason!), but I don't often check it for updates, just because they were rare. I would if you would do often updates/tweaks, etc. and somehow be around (e.g. daily). When I personally visit people's sites I tend to have this feeling that sometimes even their meaningless appearances clear out "the cobwebs", if you know what I mean.
Good luck, and I look forward to the new site and future content!

So, what is this?
This is the official website of DNA-Groove (or Eliran Ben Ishai). He is a musician who lives in Tel Aviv, Israel and composes music with passion. He doesn't like to speak about himself in the 3rd person, so I'll just say that you are welcome to listen and speak, download and share everything here. Thank you for coming.
